IL6 and coronary artery disorder: Through analysis of EAT samples obtained from patients who underwent elective coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery, they found that EAT from patients (n = 42) with CAD expressed significantly higher levels of proinflammatory cytokines (tumor necrosis factor‐α [TNF‐α], interleukin‐6 [IL‐6], and IL‐1β) compared with those produced by SAT from the same patient, which was confirmed by reverse transcription PCR and ELISA results.41
