Several serum inflammatory biomarkers including C-Reaction Protein (CRP), platelet count, Neutrophil-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR), and Platelet-to-White Blood Cell ratio (PLT/WBC) have been suggested as potential diagnostic markers of either clinical or histological chorioamnionitis.15, 16, 17, 18, 19 However, to the best of our knowledge, no studies have discussed the predictive value of serum biomarkers for diagnosis of HCA among pregnant women with PPROM who have undergone cervical cerclage. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and chorioamnionitis.
