Similarly, in the group of subjects with overweight and obesity, the heterozygote of the c.47 T>C (p.Val16Ala)–SOD2 (rs4880) polymorphism was associated with an increased risk of urolithiasis occurrence (Crude OR 1.959; 1.022–3.754 95% CI; p < 0.05), whereas the C/C genotype of the same polymorphism reduced this risk (Crude OR 0.390; 0.169–0.898 95% CI; p < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene SOD2 and urolithiasis.
