Another similarity lies in the association of bacterial proteins with lipid rafts late in infection: It was shown that Ot, and its two surface proteins TSA47 and TSA56, associate with caveolin‐rich membrane fractions after 7 days p. i., and this association was susceptible to treatment with the lipid raft‐disrupting agent methyl‐β‐cyclodextrin (Kim et al., 2013).
