A meta-analysis published in 2021 showed that HLA-G expression was correlated with a poor prognosis in gastrointestinal (GI) cancer patients [40], and recently, according to the report of Bartolome et al. [41], HLA-G expression was higher in colorectal cancer (HR = 1.55, 95% CI = 1.16 - 2.07), which was consistent with our results. The gene discussed is HLA-G; the disease is colorectal cancer.
