To ascertain the impact of plasma fraction treatment on vital organs, we measured the levels of the following biomarkers on 30, 60, 90, 120, and 155 days from the start of the experiment: bilirubin, serum glutamic-pyruvic transaminase (SGPT), and serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT) to monitor liver function; triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and total cholesterol to monitor risk of atherosclerosis and heart disease, and liver function as well; glucose to monitor the pancreas and diabetes; and creatinine and blood urea nitrogen for kidney function. Here, GOT1 is linked to diabetes mellitus.
