However, in the same manner as overall patients with lung cancer, there was no significant difference in survival according to baseline high and low serum KL-6 levels in patients with severe TR-ILD (12.9 months, 95% CI 6.9–18.9 vs. 16.7 months, 95% CI not available; p = 0.896) (see Supplementary Fig. S3c online), whereas a high serum KL-6 level was associated with worse OS in patients without severe TR-ILD (9.3 months, 95% CI 6.3–12.3 vs. not reached; p = 0.030) (see Supplementary Fig. S3d online). This evidence concerns the gene MUC1 and lung carcinoma.
