The ischemic rats treated with saline exhibited a profound reduction of FITC-dextran perfused area within the ipsilateral MCA territory, indicating perfusion deficit after stroke, whereas the combination treatment of tPA and Vepoloxamer significantly increased FITC-dextran perfusion compared to the ischemic rats treated with saline, tPA alone, and Vepoloxamer alone (Figure 5).
