CLEC6A and tuberculosis: Clec4a2 belongs to the Dectin-2 family, and it is also named DC immunoreceptor (DCIR) (Bates et al., 1999; Lambert et al., 2008; Kerscher et al., 2013; Bloem et al., 2014; Nagae et al., 2016) In tuberculosis, DCIR was reported to be protective by modulating the immune response through IL-12 expression and Th1 expansion (Troegeler et al., 2017).
