MicroRNAs and small-molecule inhibitors of DCLK1, LRRK2-IN-1, and DCLK1-IN-1 show promise against colorectal and pancreatic cancer cells in vitro, and DCLK1-targeting CAR-T cell (chimeric antigen receptor T cell) immunotherapy reduces tumor growth in murine models of colorectal cancer (147, 186–192). The gene discussed is LRRK2; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
