In this context, researchers believe that iodine-rich TCMs such as HK can be rationally used in treating some GD patients, such as those who are intolerant to ATD or refuse surgical treatment, and patients with mild and moderate GD whose serum FT4 and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) Receptor (TSHR) autoantibody (TRAb) levels are less than the upper limit of the detectable range in a laboratory (50–52). Here, TSHR is linked to Jeune syndrome.
