We used SMART database to analyze the methylation of different TFAP2 family in patients with BLCA, and found that the methylation of TFAP2A, TFAP2B, TFAP2D and TFAP2E in bladder cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues, while TFAP2C showed the opposite trend (Figure 3a). This evidence concerns the gene TFAP2E and urinary bladder cancer.
