We used SMART database to analyze the methylation of different TFAP2 family in patients with BLCA, and found that the methylation of TFAP2A, TFAP2B, TFAP2D and TFAP2E in bladder cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues, while TFAP2C showed the opposite trend (Figure 3a). The gene discussed is TFAP2E; the disease is urinary bladder carcinoma.
