ALKBH5, an important component in maintaining the dynamic balance of m6A modification, has become increasingly recognized as a widely up-regulated biomarker in the development of different cancers, including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma [37], colorectal cancer [38], epithelial ovarian cancer [39], pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms [40], and is correlated with poor clinical prognosis in patients. This evidence concerns the gene ALKBH5 and colorectal cancer.
