INS and Hyperinsulinemia: Although PCOS is one of the commonest hormonal disorders developing in females, still to date the aetiology of the same is unknown and of an idiopathic origin; it is believed that the variables involved in the etiopathogenesis of PCOS are abnormal ovarian steroidogenesis, neuroendocrine function, metabolism, hyperinsulinemia, insulin resistance, inflammatory factors, adipose cell function, environmental factors like food choices and lack of exercise [3,7].
