While P/LP variants in MLH1, MSH2, APC, MSH6, and TP53 conferred a high risk for CRC with an odds ratio greater than 5, the P/LP variants in PMS2, POLE, RAD50, ATM, and BARD1 were associated with a moderate risk increase with odds ratios greater than 2 but smaller than 5 (Fig. 2D and Table S3). This evidence concerns the gene RAD50 and colorectal carcinoma.
