Another study demonstrated that in the endothelial cells under oscillatory stress, METTL3 was highly expressed; it was accompanied by a high level of m6A methylation, which implied that METTL3-mediated m6A methylation modification plays vital roles in the occurrence of atherosclerosis induced by oscillatory stress and the disturbance of blood flow [16].
