Interestingly, we have found that miR-28 targets 61 genes essential for ibrutinib-resistant ABC-DLBCL growth [54], including Bcl-2, ORC6, and IRAK1, suggesting that miR-28+ibrutinib combination therapy could reduce the generation of ibrutinib resistance and provide a more durable treatment for DLBCL patients. The gene discussed is IRAK1; the disease is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
