CDKN2A and coronary artery disorder: The long noncoding RNA (lncRNA), an important class of regulatory molecule involved in a myriad of biological processes,2,3 is often dysregulated in various pathological conditions and has been reported as biomarkers for the diagnosis of multiple diseases.4, 5, 6, 7 The lncRNA antisense noncoding RNA in the INK4 Locus (ANRIL) is encoded by the chromosome 9p21 region, and ANRIL is associated with coronary artery disease identified through Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS).
