ACE and schizophrenia: The prescription of ACE inhibitors or ARB was also significantly lower in patients with schizophrenia across all age groups: prescription rate was 59.6% vs 67.9% and adjusted OR was 0.68 (95% CI: 0.54–0.86, P = 0.0013) in young adult patients; 56.1% vs 65.2% and 0.67 (95% CI: 0.61–0.75, P < 0.001) in middle-aged patients; and 50.0% vs 55.9 % and 0.77 (95% CI: 0.73–0.82, P < 0.001) in elderly patients.
