Double-immunofluorescence staining showed that the percentage of c-Fos+ CRH+ neurons among CeMCRH neurons and of c-Fos+ CA+ neurons among LPGiCA neurons decreased significantly after daily injection of alprazolam (Figure 10, A–E), suggesting that alprazolam treatment could significantly reduce the activity of CeMCRH and LPGiCA neurons in tumor-bearing mice. The gene discussed is CRH; the disease is neoplasm.
