This was accompanied by significantly upregulated markers of systemic inflammation (IL-6, p = 0.027 and IP-10, p = 0.0002), cytokines that also support B cell and plasma cell differentiation, platelet activation (PF4, p = 0.0003), and monocyte activation (sCD14, p = 0.0045, sCD163, p = 0.008, and Galectin-9, p = 0.010) post-BTI in KTR compared to post-BTI in HD. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL10 and Huntington disease.
