Here, as a means of identifying potential mechanisms to link R-loops to repression of Pol I activity, we used patient samples from lung squamous cell carcinoma and lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD, LUSC) in the Cancer Genome Atlas Program (TCGA) datasets to ask which genes were expressed in the most similar pattern to SETX and which biological pathways those genes impacted (37,38,68). This evidence concerns the gene SETX and lung adenocarcinoma.
