In CRC tissues, higher TIMP1 expression was associated with increased infiltration of M0, M1, and M2 macrophages, as well as neutrophils, but decreased infiltration of monocytes, dendritic cells, memory CD4 T cells, plasma cells, memory B cells, and naive B cells compared to those with lower TIMP1 expression (Figure 7C).
