DSP and infection: All these results tend to show that the infection of porcine DSP cultured in multilayers only led to weakly productive infection, of short duration and probably rapidly countered by the antiviral cellular response, corroborating the in vivo observations that showed a decrease in the quantity of FMDV detected over time and a viremia phase lasting only a few days in pigs (Arzt et al., 2011a; Stenfeldt et al., 2014, 2016c).
