Among those 63 genes, 7 glycolytic genes (ALDOA, ENO1, GLUT1, PEKFB4, PFKP, PGK1, PKM2; Fig. 5A) were overexpressed (fold change > 2.0, P < 0.05) in HCC and correlated with advanced tumor stages and poor prognosis, respectively. Here, PKM is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
