Among those 63 genes, 7 glycolytic genes (ALDOA, ENO1, GLUT1, PEKFB4, PFKP, PGK1, PKM2; Fig. 5A) were overexpressed (fold change > 2.0, P < 0.05) in HCC and correlated with advanced tumor stages and poor prognosis, respectively. The gene discussed is PFKP; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
