We observed that compared with that in the control group, the serum interleukin 10 (IL-10) level in the model mouse group was moderately reduced, while the tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin 6 (IL-6) levels were moderately increased, indicating that the HFHSD-fed NAFLD mice developed systemic inflammation. The gene discussed is IL10; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
