The modified levels of TNF-α, IL-1β and LIF cytokines at the uterine level in patients with chronic endometritis could suggest that this disorder may be associated with clinical consequences such as a lower implantation rate, but it may also suggest a potential role of chronic endometritis in the development of other pathologies, including endometrial cancer, as reported also in other studies [37,38,39]. This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and chronic endometritis.
