The cross-G function—a form of probabilistic nearest neighbour analysis—was used to demonstrate shorter OS for patients with CD4+ forkhead box P3-positive (FoxP3+) Treg cells and tumour cells in close proximity (hazard ratio (HR) 1.52, 95% confidence interval [95%CI] 1.11–2.07 and p = 0.009).
