CD34 and acute myeloid leukemia: Specifically, significant differences in leukemic cells compared to their normal counterparts were observed for CD34+ myeloblasts (AML M4/M5 vs. NBM: 1.0% vs. 13.7%; non-M4/M5 AML vs. NBM: 3.1% vs. 13.7%, p = 0.0333) and monoblasts (AML M4/M5 vs. normal monoblasts: 1.2% vs. 12.1%, p = 0.0043) (Figure 6A).
