The aim of this study was to evaluate how the effect of poor infrapopliteal runoff, presence of risk factors for atherosclerosis, complexity of arterial lesions, haemostatic potential, and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the NR4A2 and PECAM1 genes affected the likelihood of SFA restenosis after balloon angioplasty with bailout stenting when necessary, and without the use of paclitaxel-coated devices. Here, NR4A2 is linked to atherosclerosis.
