After 12 weeks, we observed a significantly decreased expression of Nlrp3 when feeding with WD, the most characterized inflammasome complex in NAFLD [25], and of Casp1 mRNA expression in regular diet (RD) and WD-fed SPARC−/− mice, compared with SPARC+/+ (Figure 2A,B). This evidence concerns the gene NLRP3 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
