Differentially expressed HERV-K (HML-2) loci in colorectal cancer were identified, with a concentration in immune response signaling pathways, indicating the potential impact of HERV-K on the tumor-associated immune response. These findings suggest that HERV-K could serve as a screening tumor marker and a target for tumor immunotherapy in colorectal cancer [69]. Here, CLEC10A is linked to colorectal cancer.
