In a recent phase 3, randomized, double-blind trial (CAPItello-291, NCT04305496), 708 patients with HR+/HER2− advanced BC, who had had a relapse or disease progression during or after treatment with an IA, with or without previous CDK4/6is therapy, were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive capivasertib (AKT inhibitor) plus fulvestrant or placebo plus fulvestrant. Here, CDK4 is linked to breast cancer.
