When the cells were long-term differentiated in FCS, both AD- and CO-derived M2 macrophages revealed a significant increase in APOE levels compared to M1 macrophages, while long-term M0 macrophages showed a significant increase only in AD-derived cells (Fig. 3a, pCO-M2vsM1 = 0.003, pAD-M2vsM1 =  < 0.0001 pAD-M0vsM1 = 0.0012).
