In sex-stratified analyses, FABP-4 was borderline statistically significantly positively associated with CRC risk in women in the multivariable-adjusted model (RR per SD in FABP-4 1.12, 95% CI 1.00, 1.26), which was attenuated after adjustment for body size (RR 1.09, 95% CI 0.95, 1.25; Table 3). The gene discussed is FABP4; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
