Consistent with these observations, we showed that integrin β4 (ITGB4) and paxillin (PXN), key components of the focal adhesion complex, are IDPs with significant disordered regions and can induce cisplatin resistance in KRAS-mutant NSCLC through nongenetic mechanisms (26, 27). The gene discussed is KRAS; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
