INS and hypertensive disorder: Higher SMM/BMI was associated with younger age, lower BMI, lower β-cell capacity measured with HOMA2-B, higher insulin sensitivity measured with HOMA2-IR, lower levels of triglycerides, lower levels of total cholesterol, higher eGFR, higher prevalence of GADA, higher physical activity, lower prevalence of hypertension and CVD, less frequent use of metformin, more frequent use of insulin, and less frequent use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and lipid-lowering drugs.
