ERBB2 and breast carcinoma: Breast cancer is classified into four major molecular subtypes, namely luminal A (Estrogen Receptor (ER) and/or progesterone receptor (PR)-positive, HER2-negative, Ki-67<14%), luminal B ([luminal B (HER2-negative): ER and/or PR-positive, HER2-negative, Ki-67 >14%] [luminal B (HER2-positive): ER and/or PR-positive, HER2-over expressed or amplified, any Ki-67), HER2-enriched (ER/PR-negative, HER2-positive), and basal/triple negative (ER/PR/HER2-negative) based on human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2) receptor and hormonal status [4,5].
