EGF and neoplasm: Compared with the control group, the experimental group injected with tumour cells that overexpressed GLS2 in situ showed more lung metastatic nodules when the tumour size in situ was the same; this is related to GLS2 promoting ERK/EGF/ZEB1 axis, which finally leads to an increase in EMT-related molecule-vimentin expression and promotes tumour metastasis [29].
