In this study, using the anti-PGL-I UCP-LFA, we found seropositivity of 11.58% among children in Bihar, a leprosy endemic state in India, with a prevalence rate of 17.1 per 10,000 population in 2019 (31), which is above the elimination threshold of 1 per 10,000 population defined by the WHO (38). Here, UCP1 is linked to leprosy.
