The approved dose of tafamidis for patients with the polyneuropathy phenotype (ATTRv amyloidosis with polyneuropathy) is 20 mg daily as tafamidis meglumine, and this drug is also approved for the treatment of transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy at a higher dose (80 mg daily as tafamidis meglumine or 61 mg daily as tafamidis) in many countries [16]. This evidence concerns the gene TTR and familial amyloid neuropathy.
