Data regarding the TLR expression spectrum in B-CLL is associated with TLR2, 4, and 10. A lower percentage of CD19+/CD5+TLR2+ cells in patients with CLL compared to the control group was found and mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) data indicated that low TLR2 expression is associated with poor prognosis in CLL patients, suggesting that TLR2 could become a potential biological marker for the clinical outcome in patients with CLL (196). The gene discussed is CD5; the disease is B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
