Notably, consistent with the expression profiles of the patients with MDD and CVS-exposed mice (Fig. 3, top, and Fig. S1), we observed an inverse association between RPGs and RP pseudogenes in DEX-treated primary neurons that was attenuated when the cells were co-treated with DEX and RU486, a glucocorticoid receptor antagonist (Fig. 4H).
