INS and metabolic syndrome: There was a significant difference on fasting insulin (p=0.021), which was higher on boys with MetS than boys with non-MetS (28.91 ± 18.53 vs. 18.74 ± 7.57 mU/L; p=0.001) and girls with non-MetS (28.91 ± 18.53 vs. 21.13 ± 11.45 mU/L; p=0.021).
