Given the key role of NOTCH1 in CLL onset and progression (54), it is likely that in curcumin-treated Eμ-TCL1 mice, impaired NOTCH1 signaling, associated with ER stress exacerbation, could be implicated in slowing down CLL development and in improving the survival of leukemic mice. The gene discussed is NOTCH1; the disease is B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
