To test if there is an abnormal translocation of the AHNAK2 protein between the nucleus and the cytoplasm, immunofluorescence staining was performed (Fig. 2B, C; Additional file 1: Fig. S3) in stromal cells of 4 HDs, 4 AML patients with mutated AHNAK2 and in induced adipocyte cells derived from the above-mentioned 8 individuals (HD: 3270 ± 1580; AML: 3670 ± 1986 cells). Here, AHNAK2 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
