IL5 and Nasal polyposis: Furthermore, the recently approved therapies with dupilumab (anti-interleukin-4/anti-interleukin-13), mepolizumab (anti-interleukin-5), and omalizumab (anti-immunoglobulin E) in patients with nasal polyposis are highly effective [2–4], so it is strongly indicated that the regulation of interleukin-4, interleukin-5, and immunoglobulin E via the type 2–inflammation track may play a crucial role in the pathogenesis.
