AKT1 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Study from Dai et al. [15] found that calcium disturbances in endoplasmic reticulum could induce the conversion of the precursor Met (Pro-Met) into a more stable functional form of c-Met (P190MetNC), thereby inhibiting ERS-induced apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma by maintaining the high activity of PI3K/Akt and MEK/ERK pathways.
