For hereditary pancreatitis, heterozygous variants in two mechanistically genes of ‘trypsin-dependent pathway’, PRSS1 (encoding cationic trypsinogen) and SPINK1 (encoding pancreatic secretory trypsin inhibitor products), are said to have the effect of occurring human pathogenic variants [148,149]. This evidence concerns the gene SPINK1 and hereditary chronic pancreatitis.
