In this study, we evaluated the risk of cardiovascular (myocardial infarction [MI]) and cerebrovascular (ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke) events among postmenopausal women and men with osteoporosis initiating treatment with two different classes of antiresorptives: denosumab (a RANKL inhibitor) or zoledronic acid (a bisphosphonate). The gene discussed is TNFSF11; the disease is myocardial infarction.
